Not that I could really tell but my engine wasn’t running the best at that time either and I had almost 200,000 miles on it.
The only time the check engine light would come on is if it was miss firing so bad with backfiring and burning too much fuel then once it cleaned out it will go out again.
When the shop remove my cats I had them put the O2 sensors in the same location that came from in the pipe have not had issues with check engine light also replaced both forward O2 sensors already.
No check engine light started about a month ago when I was pulling my camper home from a trip, I thought it was only doing it while driving but was doing some testing yesterday and checking all the electrical connections and tried it sitting in the drive way and it is doing the same thing as on...
Replaced the ignition module and checked the ohms on the coil and all the wire connections found no issues that I can see.
So i tested it again setting in the driveway under no load and it is still losing ignition power and back firing.
Here is the YouTube of it.
Any thoughts would be a big...
All new parts except for injectors and Taylor plug wires, MSD Cap, Rotor and coil only has about 7000 miles on it was replaced right before the engine went.
Was driving down the expressway at 2500 RPMs running about 70 miles an hour on cruise control when the RPM gauge drops down to 1500 RPMs and jumps back up to 2500 in the process losing power to the engine like you turned the ignition switch off and back on again and it continued to do that about...
Found a local HP tuner $575 out the door including Dyno time.
Working on getting the truck ready for them.
Having to fix a few things first went by and talk to them and they made some suggestions one big thing was to have the injectors flow tested.
If that is the case with the cam them COMP Cam's were not truthful with their assessment of the comparison of my stock cam to their recommendation for a replacement cam for towing.
Ether way I have what I have and still need to tune it, just trying to make it run and tow better.
I just had a rebuild done on my L29 engine and had a mild towing cam installed and was told that I would need to have a tune put on it.
I just want to make it reliable easy to fix on the road so I found someone who will tune the stock ECU for me and was trying to see if any one has used this...
I found the issue it was one injector all the way in the back and it was only leaking at high pressure.
I had already put new O-rings on the top and bottom of the injectors so I pulled it off and cleaned it again and moved it to the front of the fuel rail so I can keep a eye on it.
So far so...
that’s the issue I can’t see the fuel the only time I seen any remnants of it was at night time when I shined a flashlight and I could see the residue between the upper and lower intake
I just replaced all that with the new engine new injector O-rings check the injector rail put new clips on it looked underneath there and everything’s tight there’s no fuel coming from the inside that I can see.
The thing is it’s Evaporating so fast I can’t really see where it’s coming from...
