    1996 k2500 7.4l vortec

It sounds a lot like the symptom of being 180 degrees out with the distributor.

Anyone have a Stereo with DUAL Camera inputs? Front and Reverse

I bought a stereo from Crutchfield that supports 2 cameras. It was relatively inexpensive. I don't recall the brand off of the top of my head but it works great as a stereo & MP3 player. I only use the rear camera.

    Pulling the dash

I first used Devcon epoxy while in the Marines in the early '70's great product. I would not have a problem recommending Devcon.

    Replacement Oil Gauge Questions...

The temp sensor on the intake is for the computer, the one between 1 & 3 is where my aftermarket gauge is connected using the aftermarket sender. The Knock Sensor is on the right (passenger) side of the block. The Oil Pressure sender at the rear of the block behind the distributor is required...

    Air Pressure in 33's

On my K2500 I run 36 psi. It drives and rides fine. Be careful of lower pressures on the highway due to heat buildup. I have always heard that tire failure is more common with low pressure than with high pressure. If I have to check the pressure while on the road I check all tires and adjust all...

What spare parts would you bring - road trip

I keep a good assortment of tools for minor repairs plus electrical & self vulcanizing tape. I also have a heavy duty hydraulic bottle jack, jack stands and chocks plus a wooden step that I built to assist my Mom getting into the cab. The wooden stand is handy for giving me a bit of height to...

That is what I did with mine, they hold well.

Which GM cam to perfect the L31?

Back in the early 70's I built a hot 327 & used all of the top line parts according to all of the hot rod type magazines. I failed to take into account that their motors were for WOT & what I needed was street range RPM parts. The Camaro was a dog off of the line and started to become a little...

    4L80E Leaking around pan gasket

I may sound like a newbie, and I am to the 4L80E transmission but wanted to share my finding to perhaps save someone else a headache. I recently changed the fluid and filter in my 4L80E and have been having a loss of fluid since then. It was not leaking before. I suspected the gasket since it...

    Tail gate banner

The original mod to black surround is my personal favorite. That looks so good that the factory should have went that way.

    Affordable Headers

Just my experience on 2 different GMT 400 trucks both with 5.7 liter TBI motors. I have put Flowtech shorty headers on both. The '88 C1500 has the el cheapo painted Flowtech shorty headers and the '95 K2500 has the Flowtech Ceramic coated shorty headers. The ones on the '88 have been there...

Cracked stock exhaust manifolds (maybe)... replace w/ shorty headers?

I have just installed Flowtech (Holley) Ceramic Shorty Headers on my '95 K2500 350 TBI. I already had true duals with Flowmaster 40 clone mufflers with exhaust exiting below the rear bumper. There is a definite seat of the pants improvement at my normal driving speeds and if anything I think...
