    Seemingly Unique 4L60E Issue

Check the Flexplate mounts and the torque converter bolts, then the trans mount bellhousing. Somethings moving when it shouldn't.

Fog Lights in Place of Tow Hooks?

LMC calls that lower plastic part a "Valance". Rock Auto calls the same a "Air Dam" (w/o holes). The aftermarket Fog light assembly R & L are relatively cheap (RockAuto) as is the Valance (No holes @ RA/Amazon/Others?, one with Fog light holes or tow hook holes @ LMC Truck). One way to cut the...

    Stock replacement cab mounts, non-existant?

I'm considering the same thing and would rather not go shopping through Brazil. It seems I'd prefer to have the rubber mounts.

    Body/cab mounts

It looks like LMCtruck.com had some rubber Cab/Radiator/Bed complete mount kits (w/ hardware) but the complete kits are all on backorder. Some individual kit sets are still available though. Link below...

    Body/cab mounts

Is $ 98.90 USD the correct conversion price? How would the shipping be arranged??

    Catalytic converters.

I ordered the BRExhaust / Bosal from Rock Auto and actually received a Magnaflow cat instead. Apparently, after trying to call Bosal and attempting to get to the bottom of it, the number I called was in fact Magnaflow. The story is they bought out BRExhaust (formally Bosal) and I wound up...

    GM Crate Engine

The HD version is said to be essentially the same except the valves have been hardened to allow higher Ethanol blends such as E85. Something to consider in having the 'Brandon administration' in charge of energy policy and the longevity of your truck.

    GM Crate Engine

If in your quest, you decide to go back to OEM, here is your EXACT replacement below. An all New, GM crate engine for your truck, that is better than your original (4 bolt mains etc.). It might save you some headaches and grief in the end. https://www.gmperformancemotor.com/parts/12691672.html...

    Transmission shift cable bushing?

Well, I got the repair bushing in and worked like a charm. Afterward, I pulled on it firmly and everything is staying together. I used a pick and it took a bit longer to get the old one out than it took to get the new one in (less than 10 mins total). For my 1997 GMC C1500 Sierra, I needed the...

    Transmission shift cable bushing?

Well, I ordered from BushingFix on Ebay after all. I've had the same situation with my truck like 8 years ago and was hoping to find a faster, cheaper route this time. I used BushingFix then and it worked perfectly and stayed attached until I had to recently drop the transmission. As I...

Would you know if BushingFix dot com sells locally to me?

    Transmission shift cable bushing?

I have a 1997 GMC C1500 Sierra SLE 5.7L and 4L60E transmission. Located in the metro Orlando area. Where can I find the bushing that goes inside the (horseshoe) end of the shift cable, that attaches to the stud on the transmission shift lever? Dealer says to buy the whole shift cable...

    Soft brake pedel

Did you actually bench bleed the master and follow the proper procedure? Have you confirmed the booster is operating properly? I had a similar low pedal issue and lived with it for a year until I decided to replace the booster. That fixed it.

    1500 Springs on a 3500 with bags

Well, I had spent some time 'going the other direction' and was looking to put heavier springs on my C1500. The most I could go up to was 3/4 ton. The 1 ton were too long to fit. So, my thinking in turn is the 1500's would in turn be too short for you. Might have to at least extend the...
