My first V8 project for street strip use.

Welcome! You did a nice job hiding the Nitrous. I see the line-lock but no solenoids for the n2o. 13.7 is a fun street car. What does it run w/o juice? What size shot were you running for that pass? And what do you mean 'eBay Tune'?

Really wish ppl would stop bringing me trucks with hydraulic fluid in trans

I wouldn't call this thread the highlight of the 'best and brightest' of the forum... more like the toilet stall next to the alumni office.

Was the husband holding a squirrel or did she use the squirrel as a weapon?

    Engines 101

In the throttle body, you'll see a half moon-shaped thing on the throttle blade. Remove it. Better throttle response and more HP. I like to shave them down so I dont have to worry about plugging the rivet holes. Just clean it up really good before re-installing the blade and dont lose the...

    No Brakes!!! Dangerous ride home.

IDK about the rest of you but every time I'm in or near a car, its an ongoing diagnostic session... driver, passenger, bystander. Use your senses and replace when something trips your spidy-sense. I've noticed a lot of low tires on peoples cars in parking lots and helped them not have a...

    Chevy 350 won’t idle

Has it been slowly getting worse or is it a brand new problem? The ICM will give symptoms like that but usually it first starts killing it after a long drive on a hot day.

Thinking GMT400 3500 Dually for Track Day Towing, Thoughts?

And to answer your question, YES go out and get a real 3500 dually with a 454. It is built stronger, you can upgrade your trailer and not worry about also buy a new truck and selling a 1500. Like others have said a long box 454 dually isnt something somebody wants as an all-around truck. They...

Thinking GMT400 3500 Dually for Track Day Towing, Thoughts?

That last one you posted, the blue/white 91 single cab is a 1/2 ton with a dually axle and bed flares added. It looks like 5-lug front wheels! No pics of the engine either... it may be a 4.3 under there, lol.

Really wish ppl would stop bringing me trucks with hydraulic fluid in trans

Years ago I had Frank Romero of Crazy Horse Speed shop in FL build my heads for that bike before he went out of business. And I spent a bunch of time on the phone with him absorbing as much as I could about these old IH's and he said straight 50w or even 60w is best because they rely on oil...

Really wish ppl would stop bringing me trucks with hydraulic fluid in trans

Yea, once I saw that "20/50 Harley oil in everything", I switched to AmsOil... formulated for each specific hole. My old 72 Ironhead still gets cheap straight 50w in the engine since its always getting topped off from puking out the breather, lol, but it gets the good stuff in the...

I'm late to the party, but Bagged milk is actually way better than stuff in the jug! It is locally sourced, has a longer expiration date and ACTUALLY lasts longer because you take the air head-space out of the bag when you squish it down to reseal it in the reusable plastic jug. Powdered Milk...

I just learned something reading this about 1-wire's https://www.purplesagetradingpost.com/sumner/techinfo/onewire.html I think my local parts shop has these special ones with the self-energizing regulator in-stock because there's so many farmers and such asking for them but that may not be...
