And how's it running? If it's in good health, my advice is to do nothing more that keep it that way (expect to change inlet manifold gaskets though). IMO, mass produced engines are configured to be the best compromise of many conflicting aspects. Occasionally there is low lying fruit to be had...- Pinger

OEM fender flares for 92-99 suburban
Flares were an option then - but that box went unticked when my 'Burb was ordered. A simple answer to a question that's been rattling in my head for an age. Still amazes me that you guys get away with 'poke' (to use your own expression). No such word for it here in the UK as it's not permitted... -

Brake problem...
Looks like I'm all sorted (just one more bleed). A pretty simple problem that shouldn't have happened (8 month old pipe failing) which perplexed me at the time. Thanks for all the help folks - as ever, much appreciated. Cheers!- Pinger

Brake problem...
All the time. I was out briefly driving yesterday and shut it down a couple of times - hoping it would reset itself as a CEL will (if the problem causing it has been resolved) on restarting but no joy there. Raining very heavily here today so doubt that I'll get any work done on it. I will...- Pinger

Brake problem...
Quick update. I have brakes again. The rears bled without resetting the safety switch but, the light remains on on the dash so obviously the switch needs to be reset manually. Tomorrow's job.- Pinger

Brake problem...
Given that the above has happened, do I need to reset it and if so, how? Noticed on another thread someone having difficulty bleeding their rear brakes and a suggestion the proportioning valve(?) has moved and needs resetting. Same for me (1999 C2500)? New pipes are in - from ABS to rear...- Pinger

Spongy brakes, brake light on
Will I have to do that on my 1999 Suburban? Had the rear line fail and the brake light on. New pipes are in but still to be bled. If I have to centre the prop' valve - how's that done?- Pinger

Probably the only way you'll know is to replace it. And maybe consider detaching the hard pipes from it at the cylinders and blow through in case any debris from a failed hose has blocked them.- Pinger

If you wanted to show someone a picture. How do you go about it?
If the 'file is too large', then if not all of the image is required, edit/crop it in a suitable programme (eg, Windows Photos) then post the smaller file. -
