I have a 92 silverado. I start it...and drive. Once I get to 30 mph the brake light comes on...and stays on. I stop..turn the truck off and start it...the light is off. I've changed the brake light switch. Has anyone else had this problem? I hate seeing any warning lights...
I have a '92. Last year it started out doing the same thing as yours. Two weeks later the fuel pump went out. I also changed the fuel filter and injectors. It has been running great every since.
Same thing happened to me a few months ago on my 92. I took the governor out... cleaned it and it shifts fine now. Had me scared 342,000 miles without a rebuild. I have one ready when it goes.
Yeah... that IS the same problem that is talking about in my earlier post. That hole is there for venting. At least that is what I was told at the dealership and at a few transmission shops. I replaced the toilet and it didn't leak anymore
If you look at the time there is a hole with a silicone or rubber seal/ o-ring. Over time it gets hard and brittle and transmission fluid will find it's way out through that hole. I had the same thing happen to me last year
