    So I’m doing the 14 bolt sf swap. And dropping 4.10s in it. I’m wanting to find a front diff and build it and just swap it in. My buddy has one out of an NBS. My question is, will a front diff out of an NBS truck work in a 96 K1500?

    Definitely go with the first ones. Here's my 96 Sierra with the GMC counterpart to those with 285/70R17s on it.

    UPDATE: The transmission guy at work got my trans torn down. 113K on this rebuild and he says it looks like a fresh rebuild. The print on the clutches from the factory was still on them. And only mild heat wear on the 2-3 clutch pack (I think). So now I'm going to look into my t-case (NP243C)...

    It's gonna get a complete overhaul. It's got a tad over 100K on it. And they weren't exactly easy miles. Thanks for the insight, guys.

    Howdy. I've got a 96 GMC Sierra K1500 and it won't move in any forward gears. Reverse seems fine. But in drive it makes a very loud clanking/grinding sound and it gets louder under load and won't move forward. Any thoughts on this issue? Thank you in advance.

    Indeed it will. I did it to mine. Used a booster from a 99 Express 3500. Stopping power is great, but I still have a spongy pedal. I'm definitely gonna do the rear NBS brake swap. But i'm on the fence about whether I should do the 1 ton from calipers, or do the front NBS swap as well.

    GMT 400 Hydroboost swap

    I've got a boost unit out of a 99 3500 express 5.7L and a pump from an 02 1500HD 6.0L. Now as far as a master cylinder, if I get one for a 99 express l, will the brake line fitting threads from my truck match the threads on the express master cylinder? My truck is a 96 sierra 1500 Z71 5.7L.

    If I'm not mistaken, 4x4 trucks should come with a G80/LSD from the factory. Check your glove box RPO sticker for the code "G80" to see if you already have one.
