    Headers, headers, HEADERS??

Long time ago I considered headers. ( '88 C2500 350 V8 stock )..... I worked with a few NHRA racers & their suppliers......Including header manufacturers. Headers? Unless you have modified your performance .... Do Not Waste Your Money. Unless you like the different sound it creates, or they...

    Slowing down rust

Use Penetrol & a small soft paint brush on the rust, to stabilize it until you have time/money to open up the problem. Then a color-touch up for a temporary "restoration". :)

miss matched springs from the factory ?

This post caught my eye..... My old '88 C2500 leaned a 1/2 inch to one side at the rear. I bought it with 10,000 miles on it, from the original owner in 1990. I lived in Orange County, California. There was a local company ( can you believe it), called "Leaf Spring Specialists", in Anaheim...

    88-94 vs. 95-98 Interior Debate

At 392,000 miles, my '88 GMC C2500 reg cab I had the seat reupholstered like OEM. Always had a dash cover .... I liked the simplicity of the interior. ( Ignore the steering wheel leather cover... I removed it... the light color was an issue) ...since sold to a collector guy in Germany... 4...

    cold air intake

I cut a 4" hole just behind the headlight, fabricated a 4" 90 degree turn, and a 4' x 10" scoop behind the right-side of the grill. ...Both cool air & a bit of a 'ram air' ..... The 4" tubing is stainless steel, so it holds the shape very well. It took a Saturday, and no cost.

    Engine Clean

WD-40 is a great engine cleaner, all by itself. ( You can also wash your hands with it, and it cleans grease)..... I used one of those hose/spray tips that you can adjust , but not flooding your engine area. You can aim it close, and the spray is still fairly strong enough. I use the fine tip...

    Truck Value- 88 GMC c1500 2wd

I found & bought a 99% perfect 2005 Yukon XL SLT 4 years ago. ( It has been 'perfect' since then)...... It was very difficult, but I put my '88 GMC C2500 ' Camper Package' , for sale. I bought it with 8,000 miles on it in 1990 as I lived in Southern California. I kept it running good...

Is it possible to rewrap a stock steering wheel with leather

When I had my '88 GMC, I got a Wolfskin leather cover, when I bought the truck new. That one was all black, and it lasted a long time. 15 years later replaced it again w/a Wolfskin, with the optional '2-tone' ( to match interior),.. the light color wore off and got ugly. ( I complained, but...

Need help.starter clicks once no start.

Same thought I had..... A "single click" could be a bad starter or a poor connection to the starter. ( "click" is voltage to the solenoid which is attached to starter) I suspect all the wires he cleaned...... the wires to the starter was the culprit. Unless lights dimmed ( low battery voltage )
