    Well where do I find this scan tool for a reasonable cost? It's obd1 which aren't in abundance anymore. I replaced every vacuum hose. Fuel pressure was checked its 12psi.     A month. First one I bought in October, and within 4 months the points on the cap were already green and corroded. So I pulled it and returned it. The icm lasted a day, I replaced that with a fancy car quest premium one, the when it developed the misfire I bought the gm genuine parts one.

    So I had the truck running pretty good. A slight hesitation off idle. Then it developed a constant misfire. I checked the plugs (fine), wires are new Napa premium. Distributor is a new duralast gold (second one) but I put in a gm genuine icm.

    94 k2500 5.7. So it is still stumbling and surging. Not as bad but it's still there. Runs like crap before 2500rpm, then it runs like a Nascar. Stalls occasionally going from drive to reverse.     Oh I timed it at 0 btdc. I used a timing light. But it sputters and dies when shifting into reverse and drive. I "adjusted by ear" and its run better but a little rough still. Could it be the ecm? It's practically the only thing I haven't replaced

    So my 94 runs like crazy with the electronic advance line connected (black and tan wire) unplug it truck runs great. Everything is new. Distributor, o2, wires, plugs, coil, iac.

    Icm is pretty new, acdelco, coil I have no idea. I put in a new distrubutor, wires, plugs. It has headers and a full exhaust. Was misfiring really bad till the ignition repairs. Now just surges stalls in reverse

    So my 94 tbi 350 2500 is surging at idle and while driving between 2000-2500 rpms. It also stalls out when reversing under light load. See attached video.
