LWhile you have the pan off go over the flange with a straight edge and bump down any high spots. Normally they will be at the bolt holes...

LIf you're talking about that dip tube seal the seal Schurkey showed is the correct seal for your tranny. You shouldn't need any sealer...

LGasket, don’t use rtv. Might as well replace filter at the same time. Check out a Moroso 93104 Gasket and thank me later.
