    Can mount replacement issue

I think the gal at the bottom is fine, I know the truck was hit before so I’m sure that’s why the door to fender gap is tight, the door at the bottom looked good to me when latched, it’s at the top of the frame where the door is “overtop” of where it should normally ride. And the top rear corner...

    Can mount replacement issue

Alright sounds good, hopefully everything can or will move back into shape once I cut that out. Thanks for the info! I’ll try to post if or when I get this done.

Yep. Could that gap be caused by the cab being off? Or just the price I put in be “mis manufactured”?

Also jacking up the front drivers side corner also helped with the door hitting the striker correctly, but the door to cab gaps were still off. When I jacked it up the door was “over top” of the weather stripping and the seam wasn’t flush. If I ran my hand from the roof of the cab towards the...

    Can mount replacement issue

Ok, I will make sure to use some screws. I guess I didn’t know the floor pan was a bad idea, I thought using a board would’ve been ok and distributed the weight enough.I had started to weld it all around the top, but there was a gap in the corner by where the door would close, so I was gonna...

    Can mount replacement issue

Alright here’s my thought.. yes I screwed up but please don’t judge me this is my first truck, nonetheless body project on a vehicle. I’m pretty sure when I was replacing the inner cab corner the passenger side was all nice and level (meaning the cab mount was in and everything) while the...

    Can mount replacement issue

I sure thought the door closed as designed before, but that’s just me. When the cab was jacked up, both rear mounts were loose or taken off, and the front mounts were left untouched, if they were doing something or not im not sure

Ok sounds good. I’ll check the front mounts tomorrow and report back after. Any other ideas to check while I’m here?

    Can mount replacement issue

Ah sorry, I should’ve clarified, I feel the door is very close to touching the fender (the vertical gap), I think the door is still lined up with the fender “body line” just wondered if I could make that gap a bit bigger, as it is pretty tight.

Well then how do you explain the door being off (body lines wise) when shut?

    Can mount replacement issue

Yea I know, but the door gap between that fender and the door is pretty tight compared to the other side. Does the fender have some body shims or something I could use?

    Can mount replacement issue

Maybe? That’s a good thought.. I did notice that the front mounts did look pretty rusty/didn’t do much anymore. What do you think I do to fix the tight gap between the closed door and then front fender?

    Can mount replacement issue

When I jacked the cab up, I put a board underneath the floor right next to the inner rocker, only drivers or passenger door was open, which ever side I was working on, and cab was not mounted any time I jacked up the cab as the mounts were either rusted through or nothing was attached when I...
