    The age old question. No, you cannot bore a 305 out to a 350. The castings are different. On top of that, the heads are also different.     I'm swapping the Vortec heads on my Gen V 454. Cam selection has been an issue for me too. I'm going to have between 9.0:1-9.5:1 compression.
