    I understand that, I was replying to the guy who was excited about paying "only 50 bucks" for the handles. I made a set of wire bending dies to make the rods and laser cut the pawls for myself ...but I am in New Zealand so I am bugger all use to anybody in the USA.

    Loctite 620 ? I know it is not really the correct application, Loctite would recommend 272 or possibly 2760. However I have used 620 on a gearbox shaft nut on my Vincent V twin , it has been the ONLY cure that worked , and has thus far lasted nearly 40 years , after previously coming apart...
