Thanks alot guys, I've owned this truck since 41K miles and the last 5 years, and ive always taken great care of it I change the oil every 3 to 4 thousand miles so with your advice im leaving it alone. Im just going to change oil to the Amsoil 10w30 and leave it be. Again thanks for your opinions

Amsoil Engine Flush? Should I Do It?

Thanks for the reply, I don't have any kind of issues with the truck it runs good. I was just thinking of it as more of a preventative thing. But that's why I asked the research ive done some people say its a good thing some say it will take out your engine.

Amsoil Engine Flush? Should I Do It?

Looking for some advice on if this is something worth doing or not. I was thinking of doing a Amsoil engine flush treatment. My truck is a 1996,1500, 5.7 Vortec with 115k original miles. I'm going to be trying the Amsoil 10w30 oil as well. I've herd mixed emotions when it comes to engine flush...

    newer wheels on older truck

They came with a 265/65/18, No rubbing at all I can fully crank the wheel both ways without any issues. They fit great you just have to buy a full set of the newer long lug nuts for them to work but you can buy them at any auto part store. And no the speedometer did not change since the height...

My Rare find 1996 silverado 4X4 42k original miles!

Thanks, I got a lot of **** when I brought it home everybody said you need to put that away and store it. I bought it because I wanted a good reliable gas truck and in my opinion this truck is one of the toughest reliable trucks GM has ever had so im going to drive it and enjoy it.

My Rare find 1996 silverado 4X4 42k original miles!

Thanks, There was no way I could bare to look at it with the roof visor and the graphic kit they had on it. The running boards were also horrible looking. I would have kept the factory stainless trim around the wheel wells but they were starting to rub thru the paint so I took them off for that...

    1998 Sierra with 383 Stroker...

Keep us posted once you get it done, my truck also has a really nice rust free body and what you did is exactly what I plan to do with mine once the motor gets tired. Again great build!

    1998 Sierra with 383 Stroker...

Like what your doing here, a lot of guys are doing LS swaps but the sad part about the LS motors is they don't make any low rpm power like these 5.7 vortecs, do you have any dyno numbers on your build? I would be curious where the peak torque is at.

    Fuel pressure regulator?

I had this same issue back in the middle of summer, I started with AC delco fuel pump that didn't fix it, then I did AC delco temp sensor that didn't work, then I did the AC delco new spider injectors that didn't fix it either! Its had new plugs and wires and fuel filter all AC delco and I...
