    Headers or iron manifolds?

They're supposed to fit the factory Y pipe. Mine were off enough that I couldn't cheat 'em, and ended up taking it to an exhaust shop for a complete custom exhaust. Glad I did it, though.

    Steering woes on a 91 K2500

You must have a heavier-duty 2500? Eight lug wheels? My truck is a lighter duty 2500 with six lug wheels, and it does not have a steering damper. My previous truck, a 2000 K3500, did have one.

    Windshield replacement woes

Wow, the paint on the upper door has a nice shine to it. Nice color, too. Is that paint original?

    Windshield replacement woes

Erik, I am going to have my original windshield replaced, since it leaks and is badly scratched from a previous owner using wipers that went to bare metal. My roof is rusty like yours, and I'm concerned the channel where the windshield goes will be rusty also. Was that true with your truck...

    Windshield replacement woes

    I would not accept that.

    Moon Gauge

I love the moon gages on my 1990. They all work! Used to have a 2000 K3500 (last year of GMT400s), and the flickering needle on the fuel gage annoyed me (aka 'hummingbird gas needle').

    305 TBI Header (?)s

I ran into a guy that combs the salvage yards and buys up starters, alternators, etc., and resells to rebuilders of those components. Not sure how I feel about that, since it reduces the chances of backyard mechanics or Joe six pack on a tight budget finding a used component to get their ride...

    305 TBI Header (?)s

I have a 305, and installed shorty, stainless steel headers, and had a complete custom exhaust system installed. My truck already had 3.73 gears. Had a new distributor installed, but have not done any mods to the TBI, yet. Not a race car by any means, but starts and runs well, with good...

How I Added an Auxiliary Transmission Cooler

Yes, the holes in the auxiliary cooler were already in place, and already threaded, so I did not have to tap them, if that's what you mean. I think we're just getting hung up on terminology or semantics.

How I Added an Auxiliary Transmission Cooler

Not sure what you mean by "taped holes". No, transmission not overheating as far as I know, but I don't have a temp gage for my ATF. Yes, lines are routed same as that diagram.

How I Repaired Missing Front Bump Stops

Thank you for the formatting tip. I may edit my posts so the photos are distributed throughout the text.

How I Added an Auxiliary Transmission Cooler

You're welcome! I've gotten much good advice from members here, and I wanted to give back to this online community.

How I Added an Auxiliary Transmission Cooler

'Tappings' are the female threads at the inlet/outlet of the auxiliary cooler.

How I Added an Auxiliary Transmission Cooler

Part 3 I didn't connect the return line from the auxiliary cooler, to the hard line returning to the transmission just yet, because I wanted to purge air and some of the old (and nasty) transmission fluid first. So, I put the flex hose into a catch bottle that I zip-tied to the radiator...

How I Added an Auxiliary Transmission Cooler

PART 2 Time to plumb ... So, about a year ago, I replaced my transmission cooler lines with new, stainless steel, pre-bent lines from Inline Tube (which I highly recommend). The lines go to the factory transmission cooler that is inside the radiator. I put a lot of thought and research into...
