5.7 98 k1500. Truck doesn't burn any oil, but I hear ticking near the valve covers. It's currently running a 10w40 high mileage oil, but I heard it when it was on 5w30 also. Thoughts on what it is?

I don't usually see crew cabs on the half tons. Thought the sunroof was pretty cool, but not a fan of the fake wood trim.
Check your high side too while you're at it. I replaced my low side AC shrader valve, and realized the high side was leaking also. The high side is not a shrader valve and the oe part number is 3394-05401448.

Imagine this will take more work to line up the t-case and front axle. Definitely intimidated by the swap.
Have a 1998 K1500 5.7 with a 4l60e. Fine with the truck, but like using it to learn new things on. Never done anything that adds power, so started researching either modifying the current engine, or swapping in something newer. Had some open questions, but just want to hear from folks who have...
If it does turn out to be the blend door, I think it's behind the dash and a real pita to get to. Someone correct me if I have the wrong actuator though. I think it's 65 in this image. 69 is the mode door which controls air going to the defrost/floor/front.
Here's a thread about pulling the...
