1998 K1500 Suburban with the 140AMP alternator. I've noticed when sitting idle, the voltage gauge will drop a little back and forth when the turn signals are on. I haven't noticed this any other time. Alternator is less than 5 years old and the battery is new this year. Headlights are bright. No...
I ran the truck for that summer without a front anti-sway bar. I wasn't racing the thing and I usually do the speed limit anyways. I sold the truck off that fall... no idea what happened to it. I sold it to someone that lived near the Lansing, Mi area.
I did a search but only found info for 88-94.
What are the speakers sizes for this truck? Front doors and rear speakers. I only have one working and its driving me nuts.
Online searches is giving me multiple sizes.
Thanks.
I'm thinking about doing this... But haven't found anything online. Was hoping maybe some conversion mounts are available.
Everyone is LS swapping the world right now. I can show you many trucks at shows with a swapped LS in it. Its getting boring. And my truck is going to be a cruiser. I...
I also had an ATK engine. I only had it for the first 15,000 miles but it ran great. No issues. Was a Vortec crate engine with a carb intake and an HEI dist.
I'm in the early planning stages of building a new motor for my 1995 ecsb. It has a worn out 305tbi.
I'm wanting to keep the stock gauges and cruse control, so I need to use the stock EFI setup.
I'm getting a 350 vortec from a 1997 Tahoe. I know I'll need the vortec/tbi intake manifold. I know...
I haven't thought that far ahead. I just noticed over the weekend that my harbor fright floor jack just barely fits under the frame with 235/75R115 tires. I'll probably just get a small jack and go under the control arm/axle if I need to change a flat tire.
It was up in the air. I even compressed that side with a floor jack and it made very little difference. This is the 4" front kit (Lwr ctrl arms and coil springs). The mounts in the pictures on the site look just like this.
This truck does (did) have the heavy duty RPO code for the shocks from...
Well, i got the front springs in. But now it sits lower on the driver's side than the passenger's side. Rear by 2 inches and front by 1.5 inches.
Thinking maybe worn leaf springs....? The rear is lower than the front.
So I've been installing the 4/6 drop kit with lower control arms on my 1995 ecsb since 730am... It's now 1030pm. I can't for the life of me get these coil springs in the lower control arm pockets like they should be. With the nuckle assembled there is no tension on them and they just flop around...
This day and age.... Craigslist is just about your only option. Maybe sometimes you'll get lucky and a dealership may have some older ones sitting behind their building in the weeds.
