    This. Possible inspect the rubber brake lines as well. Black stuff in the fluid suggests deteriorating rubber parts breaking away and dissolving in the brake fluid.

    2500 HD , F&R axles and transfer case in a K1500.

    Swapping cabs would be easier. Front diff is different and doesn't swap over. Rear diff would be worth the swap. In fact you should be fine with just a 14 bolt swap

    Id have to go look through my stuff. I know that I have the corvette servo and the spacer/spring from the Transgo kit, just don't remember the number.

    The only shift that bothers me is the 1-2 shift. Under normal driving it feels stock, 50%+ throttle and it shift firm but not shocking firm. I just want to make sure I don't burn the band out of it prematurely because its too tight.

The reason I am asking is that I don't think my rebuild and Transgo is shifting as hard as others have stated it should. I probably have a couple of hundred miles on the trans...

    I have a transgo and corvette servo. Definitely a difference. I did it myself and followed the instructions for a streetable shifting. I didn't drill out all of the holes on the separator plate to the big size, per instruction, and it still shifts pretty hard..........not crazy though, very firm...

    Local shop or DIY. I searched for a while before I settled on going it myself. Got my parts from Rhino and youtubed the rest. You can order parts packages and have the shop build it. That's one way.

    Rhino will hook You up. I used a combination of pdf instructions and YouTube videos. Really not that hard to do as long as your patient and take your time. Most trans shops do 5 4l60e's a week.

    I rebuilt and upgrade my trans for under $300. Don't pay $2000 for a rebuild..........thats simply ridiculous! You can buy a fully built/upgraded transmission for $1200 shipped as long as you know how to take one out and put one in. I did 3-4 z pack clutches, full seal kit, new band, molded 3-4...
