I replaced mine with a 2002 mc and noticed a huge difference. Lots of conflicting posts on the forum about the swap.

My first flathead so lots to learn and had a tough time getting it to run. Bought and swapped in many parts to get it to this stage. Still lots to do for it to be roadworthy but getting closer to driving

Replaced the front bumper last week with a new to me version without the trim. Bumper has a decal indicating 1994 and I had the inner brackets with it which was a good thing. After I installed on the ones that came with the truck, major gap on the passenger side. Could not bring it in with any...

That’s good to hear. Greased the ball end with lithium yesterday and seems to help.

Installed mine last week and so use to the longer throw that I am having difficulty finding gears. Sure over time it will get a lot better.

Installed the Core shifter yesterday and definitely a different feel. Still trying to find gears especially down shifting from 5th as I am use to the longer pattern. Overall happy at this point but need to figure out the size of a jamb nut, for lack of a better term, to position the shifter ball...
