New truck with plenty of problems...

Cunningham Machine has the lower and upper steering shaft for the 95+ trucks, if thats whats causing the slack in the steering wheel. Also welcome to the world of owning a 95 model truck. The few one-year only parts make it interesting when looking for parts online.

Driver's side wind noise driving me nuts!

Also look at the belt molding seals on the doors. Being 22+ years old, most of them are cracked and have chunks missing by now. If the window has a bunch of slop when its raised up, the channel run seal must be plum worn out.

    3rd Brake Light Options

The 3rd brake light on my 95 has 2 sockets that are partially melted but still work, but one of the cargo lights hasn't since i got the truck. Been looking around the ol' interwebs, but not sure on a good option for replacement. Bought a LED version, but when i plugged it in the brake light...

    Blower motor?

Definitely check the positive connector at the blower motor, but also check the connector at the blower switch while you're at it. The connector on the blower switch likes to melt too.

    Value of our trucks

At least in my area, ive seen plenty of these trucks with over 200k with a decent body and such go for at least 3k all the time. Anything under 100k and the prices get downright ridiculous! Even though my 95 is a little rough around the edges, i felt for what i got that 2k was a decent price...

Newbie Question: HVAC and Light Controls

The HVAC head units for 95's are unique. At one time you could get a kit from gm that was the 96-up head unit with an adapter harness to connect to the 95's connectors in the dash. Unfortunately both versions were discontinued. You'd have to dig in the junkyards and try to find one of those...

    HVAC 15-72267 to replace 15-72266

As of April 3, 2020, Both ACDelco p/n for the 95' Control panel with the adapter harness have been discontinued. So unless you can get lucky and find one with the harness in the junkyard, you'll have to make your own harness.

    Howdy Y'all!

Thought id introduce myself! Found this forum looking for information on the infamous HVAC controllers on these trucks! Ive recently purchased my first obs truck, a 1995 Chevrolet Cheyenne C2500. Right now its got right over 150k on the clock. Used to be an old farm truck, so its got a bunch...
