    I have 3 GMT400s ,all running, and a few for parts. There's always things braking, because of age. Some Are- Distributor and disturber inner parts failure, no spark. MAF sensor, never had much trouble with them, but sometimes... IAC valve and IAC connector, too much air or none, Injectors...

    They make the truck ride softer, nice on my old bones, I got them when there was still a few feet of snow on the property, they seemed to work pretty good in it. Road noise is low. Plus they are one cool looking tire, my neighbor Phil from Revolve Offroad sells them.

    My 92 with 450000Kms and just installed this , I had them on my 08 gmc shortbox. They are 33x12.5x18'' Renegades, a little trimming on the front bumper, rear lower fender + flare. And three cranks on the bars.

    Those of you running diesel bumpers with fog lite windows: I found one, but need some answers please....

    The 1992 in my alvar has a diesel bumper, I haven't installed lights yet because I need to remove the bumper and paint it body color, at that time I will weld on light brackets.

    A short box extended cab frame can be shortened to a short box frame for that truck. I did a shorty last year and had to weld a couple of rust holes. Yours don’t look too bad. If it don’t have holes in it I would sand blast, rust proof and paint it, good to go

    I believe the aluminum cover was on the 4l80 and plastic on the 4l60 transmissions, I have a couple of each on the shelve and both 4l80s have aluminum covers.
