Adding cruise control to 98 C1500
I can't stand not having cruise when driving on the highway. Luckily it's pretty easy to add on these trucks if yours wasn't optioned for it. Literally just swap out the turn signal stalk and add the module to the firewall, hook up the cable to the TB and you're off. Yes there are already videos...- evsnova74

Yeah I really don't know what I was thinking. I knew pitman arm pullers existed, why didn't I conclude from that that an everyday jaw puller wouldn't be up to the task? Who could say. I was pretty desperate to get it done, I would have had to drive my totalled daily to get a puller, no back...- evsnova74

So if I want to have matching door and ign keys I'm guessing I'll have to get a whole set of door and ign cylinders from a junk yard? I know nothing about locksmithing.- evsnova74

Well I've been doing some reading and I'm coming to the conclusion that a) passlock is prone to failure at a potentially bad time, and b) it's not even particularly robust enough to prevent theft. Tldr: what's the best route for replacing a damaged ign cyl and retaining VATS? My truck doesn't (didn't) have cruise control, which I admit has spoiled me in all my other vehicles. So I wanted to add it, super simple right? Just get a turn signal switch with the controls, and add a CC module...- evsnova74

Broken shifter cable?
The cable is only a few months old though. I haven't heard about it for a few days so he must have fixed it. Apparently a tire blew out so I'm probably going to have to get new tires on these wheels even though I'm not a big fan of em. Oh well, that'll sove a problem temporarily an I can think...- evsnova74

I figured I'd just take a look at the tailgate mechanism on this thing, see how it works. Before my granddad bought it the previous owner just installed these gate latches on either side to keep it shut, total pain: So I thought, why not, idk, actually fix this?
