    Disc brake upgrade

A while back I'd looked at the Little Shop rear disc kits and noted the same issues that has been discussed here. The caliper pins are not designed to take the braking load, they are only used in stock systems to allow the calipers to float. The load is taken from the knuckle / axle casting or...

NBS Front Brake Swap for OBS Trucks

Found this thread a while back when I was researching this swap. https://www.thetruckstop.us/forum/threads/gmt-400-to-gmt-800-brake-conversion-tie-rod-discussion.45012/ I used the stock GMT400 tie rods, but did seem to bottom out differently. No issues so far, but not a lot of miles on the...

Rear sway bars (anti roll bars) what got them and what didn't?

If you install the factory rear sway bar on a K1500 pickup I’d recommend using the GMT800 SUV end links. They are longer and will put the bar closer to the proper angle. The holes on the bar need slightly opened in the center to fit the new end links but it literally takes 20 seconds with a...

    Helper Bags Replacement

Just to clarify, NBD-10010 is just the cap drawing number. That cap is used in a few different air springs. If the piston drawing number could be provided also I should be able to find the spring.

    Helper Bags Replacement

From the pictures it looks pretty similar to a Firestone spring, could be wrong though. The cap looks similar to what KustomBuilt posted so I cross referenced that and found a few part numbers but need some more info. Can you remove the piston (lower mount) and see if there is a drawing or...

    Helper Bags Replacement

Can you take some pictures of the spring and upload? Typically the label is on the top plate which is covered by the bracket once installed.

EBC Yellowstuff Brake Pads - Worth It?

For $120 I wouldn't run a EE code pad. While there is more to a pad than the friction ratings, they are the only quantitative measurement I know of. The last EE pads I ran were the Centric Posi-Quiet Ceramics on a Subaru and they were crap from a bite and feel aspect. No dust though. I...

EBC Yellowstuff Brake Pads - Worth It?

FWIW on friction codes for brake pads on the GMT400 vehicles I've had: - Bendix MKD369FM Fleet Metlok Semi-Metallic - FE code - Power Stop Z36369 - GG code from what I remember, been a few years - Raybestos EHT369H - GG code, current pads. Good bite with low dust, super touchy when wet and...
