Well, replaced the crank position sensor Tues night. Started up fine, drove it for a little bit and it died twice. Last night I was gonna test the battery at full load (blower, radio and hazards on) at idle. Ran for about 3 minutes then died. Wouldn't start back up. Put my spark tester on and...

So after changing the cap and rotor it seemed to be running fine. However, on Friday a new issue appeared. Driving down the street the rpms suddenly dropped to 0 for a few seconds then jumped back up. When they dropped out it acted like it wasn't firing at all. It did that a couple times then...

Was out of town over the weekend so didn't get to drive the truck much. My wife drove it some and it seems to be doing good. Hopefully it will keep going :D

Gonna replace the cap, rotor and plugs tonight. Got all ACDelco components. I'll report back with what I find. My buddy swears it's a sensor (TPS or CPS). I guess we will see.

I just pulled the cap and sure enough there was some corrosion (light, nothing super heavy) and some carbon buildup on the inside of the contacts (also light). I'll replace it tomorrow and see what happens then.

So within the last couple months my 98 Silverado 2500 (350 Vortec) started having an intermittent issue after driving it throughout the day. It will startup and run fine first thing in the morning but the more I drive it during the day the worse it runs. The RPMs will start bouncing up and down...

Got myself in a bit of a bind..... (NV4500 MW3 removal)

So I've been needing to replace the slave cylinder on my 98 2500 for a few months now, finally had the money to go pick up the part and try to get it installed. Long story short I tried to slide the transmission back far enough to get to the slave (just the gearbox, bellhousing is still bolted...
