    At a loss, Acceleration Shake

@RichLo @deadbeat @clgodwin79 @Frank Enstein @Hipster Okay, need some new opinions if you all have time. Changed out those old weird 2 piece shackles and went ahead and change all the leaf spring bushings while I was at it, it did not do anything for the shake. I put the rear on some jack...

    Torque Specs Thread

Hi DF, Do you happen to have the specs for rear leaf spring bolts? I replaced the bushings on the leaf springs and the shackles, but can't find torque specs anywhere.

For anyone interested, here is what those shackles were. From what I've found they are a drop shackle made by Velvet-ride. Why would the original owner put drop shackles on a lifted vehicle? I have no idea. The idea behind these are that middle rubber piece acts as a shock on top of the leaf...

Okay I have been thinking that might be the route I need to go as well. I'll have to find that thread. I was just hoping there was some other more obvious reason for my shake. Lol. Do you remember the cost of the swap?

You think I'm good to just put the standard shackle back on? I'm assuming the put this on when it was lifted in 1999. I thought that looked weird. It looks a little longer than a standard shackle, but it should be okay to just go stock?

I think you have a point here. It looks like its clearly pointing up right? I'm assuming that's not good...

I will check that tomorrow! Here's a picture from today, the pinion is pointed up. That's bad right?? Lol I took it to a rear end shop and the owner took a quick look under and he said and eyeball look his guess is I'm +2° on the pinion and +2° on the TCase.

Okay, I thought it was blocks, but could it be both? I definitely have larger blocks, but these shackles don't look stock to me. Can anyone confirm if these are part of the lift or if they are stock?

The reason I didn't think it was the U- Joints is because the shake existed with the stock joints, and also with the new ones. It's shaking slightly less because the center support bearing has new rubber, so it has decreased it some but still exists. I will have to test the letting off the...

Thank you for this, I will be working on it next. Just visually, the pinion is clearly pointing up towards the transfer case. It looks like I need to adjust that. With our trucks, do we need to use shims to adjust them?

Is there a way for me to check tire speration? I don't see any obvious signs of tire issues visually. Front wheel bearings are both brand new. I thought about the driveshaft many, but would it be smooth at high speeds if the driveshaft was unbalanced? I will have to take a look at the mounts to...

Injectors are new from Five-O motor sports, Fuel regulator is also new. No codes showing up it is 0411 swapped. Idle is smooth no problems there. I can rev it in park/neutral and it revs greats does shudder at all which is why I was starting to think it was driveline/rear end related. How could...

Its a block lift. I beleive the brand is TrailBlazer. Original owner had it done as soon as he bought the truck in '99.

Okay, needing some suggestions or directions to go with my truck. When I take off from a stop, I get a shake that feelings like it is in the driveline(Maybe?) between 5-15 MPH. After passing 15 MPH it goes away and drives fine. It does it when it is cold, hot, doesn't matter. The truck is a...

    Rear Drive Shaft

I have a 1999 K2500 Crew cab short bed. The rubber on my center support bearing is toast, so I need to replace it. How the heck do I get these two pieces apart so I can press the bearing off?? The rubber/metal cap just spins but it seems to be stopping the splines from pulling out when I try to...
