    Fuel Quality!

I don't know about gas mold, but I work in Data Centers that have 100's of 5,000 gallon diesel tanks for the 3mW backup generators. If memory serves correctly, the fuel people come out every 6 months and pump all the diesel thru a filter to get the mold out. No small undertaking.

@Off Grid Access - Can you post a picture(s) of the pully system on your truck? Mine has a hodge podge of parts from other trucks and I can't figure out what i am missing.

Ah, the three sea shells. I have the same truck and year. Same problems, bad bad wiring, overheating. I never knew what the third relay was for until I saw your post. (XFER Case) On mine, I think the overheating is due to a bad sensor and bad wiring and bad dash connections - but I will never...

Rebuild - But not Restore, K3500 Farm Truck

Super small update, bought a remote starter and have two batteries charged up. Just need time to do the compression tests. I should have asked around here 1st for opinions, but pulled the trigger on an OTC remote start, 3x the cost of the other ones with 4.7 star reviews. (I ignore the good...

Decided to build a garage. Now the fun begins.

I'm in construction and two sheets of plywood will be your friend. If he can drop the lift right into the garage, put plywood down anyway so the bed doesn't scrape your new concrete. Love the progress.

I am sure this is not the right pully. It has a vbelt and 6 rib belt. I think it should have just the 6 rib belt. That's OK because most the the accessory brackets were wrong or missing. My solution (with help from this website - thanks): Start over fresh and new or buy from ebay...

had a little power steering leak. The oil has always leaked - going to fix that when I pull the engine. The coolant passageways look clean enough. Odd, I can see a bolt in the passageway. I guess this is normal?

3/3/24 update: Able to tear down the truck a little more. Didn't get to the compression test or leak down test yet but pulled some plugs. They don't look good.

Found/closed Full set of Pulley Mounting Brackets 1990 454 K3500 (PS pump, ALT, idler, air pump)

This spring finally getting around to rebuilding the truck, someone hacked the whole front end pulley system. Looking to start over, correctly. I am not near a junkyard (Stafford, VA) that I know of. Can drive ~100 miles in my other truck to pick up parts. Want: Driveshaft pulley Fan clutch...
