What's the most comfortable seat you've found?

Not having seats I like has been holding up the interior refresh in my 92 rcsb. Checked out a new Denali today and wasn’t too impressed with the comfort. Seems like the best bet is 90s cars, later 400s and 800s. Tough to find them in good condition. I’ll have to check the local pullapart and...

1993 Silverado replacing the dash questions

I would reseal all the ductwork. These trucks are notorious for leaking the air out behind the dash leaving you with poor heating and cooling

    Swapping 94 to 92

I have extra throttle bodies and intakes so that shouldn't be a problem. Do you guys recommend using the 3 wire o2 or swap manifolds and stick to the single? Seems like it could be a better option to go 3 wire in case I go to shorty headers. I'd just have to figure out a place to tie in for...

    Swapping 94 to 92

Hey guys, wanted some thoughts on what do to with my truck. It's a 92 GMC K1500 5.7 with the 4l60. The engine is on it's last leg. Compression is low in 7 and it some days it has a pretty loud knock. Other days it doesn't. Haven't tracked it down yet as I haven't been driving it except to move...

    5.7L Cold Air Intakes?

This is something I've wondered about what the truth is behind it. I bought my 92 in 2001 and started putting mobil 1 full synthetic in it cause that's what I thought was good. Didn't really think much else about it until a couple of years ago when I started researching whether I wanted to...

    Found this today. Need advice

I appreciate all the responses. I incorrectly assumed the lower mount was welded on and it would be something I couldn’t do myself. Not the first time I’ve been wrong and realized I was an idiot. Just don’t tell my wife I said that. Thanks again.

That’s good. If they aren’t welded on that makes things much simpler. Thanks

    Found this today. Need advice

What do you guys think would be the best way to fix this? Just try replacing the u bolts? Should I just hit the yards looking for a new axle? I’m assuming that mount is welded on? I don’t have a welder.

    Open Element question

Looks good to me. Did you notice any increase in responsiveness with that setup?

    Open Element question

I meant the stock intake setup. The engine needs to come out for a rebuild. Truck still runs fine but is far from it's former glory. I haven't decided for sure if I want to rebuild or LS swap. I know how to do a rebuild and shouldn't be too big of a problem getting the truck back on the road. An...

    Open Element question

If I put one on it would largely be for cosmetics cause the stock setup is an eyesore. If I could gain some throttle response I would consider that a bonus. I was just curious about the cowl hood cause I have one laying around that I don’t plan to use unless it could be beneficial.

    Open Element question

I've read through a lot of threads on here about different air intake systems. I know most of you aren't fans of the open element "hot air intake" style setups with the volant being the only one considered an improvement over factory. What I haven't seen is much discussion on is the effects of a...

    Milwaukee m18/m12 tools

I have quite a few Milwaukee M12 and M18 tools. I love them. I did assembly work until a couple of years ago and ran a lot of impacts and drills. I had always had dewalt before and had some batteries so I just went with them. Over the years it was fine up until maybe 5-6 years ago and I started...

    Advice on LS Swap

Well I went to pullapart today and found a 2004 Yukon with a 5.3. Looking up the vin says it's a L59. I'm considering trying to pull it tomorrow. Anyone have any thoughts or advice? Can I reuse my power steering pump or do I need to pull it too? I'm going to take the rest of the accessories...
