K2500 8 lug diff: Actuator upgrade?

This is still an issue. I did the swap from thermal to electric 6 years ago. First unit installed was a Dorman and 9 months later it let me down in the mountains off highway in a bind. Replaced with a Spicer. 11 months later I was stuck in the forest in the rain…again 5 months later with some...

Rough Country 4"/6" kit install tips.

Got my new steering gear, pitman and idler stuffs. Oh and stuff came back from the powder coat guy. I’m installing the torsion bar relocaters this weekend. My trans crossmember needs fabricated. Once it’s all welded up I’ll post some pics. Damn the squeaks.

Rough Country 4"/6" kit install tips.

Man you’re not wrong!! I’m already fed up with the re-torquing. I’m going to weld mine in.

Rough Country 4"/6" kit install tips.

I like your style. I’ve got a twin 93 in white with a long box. I’ve had a lot of trouble with the alignment. After I finished with the lift install my steering wheel was upside down. The first place that did the alignment corrected the wheel to the wrong direction. So I lost 3/4 turn of the...

    4180E failing

For sure the internal/external wiring harness. Over time and heat cycles the internal plug seals shrink and seep atf into the plug which in turn shorts your electrical system. When you turn off the truck it resets and works for shorter and shorter intervals. The replacement plug is tough to...

HD Headlight Harnesses w/ 4 High Mod

I’d like the 4 high kit along with the big 3 please. 35115 Venmo. I have a question as well. I have hid low beams and led high. Will your kit cause the lows to flash when I click on the highs? I ask because of the temporary warm up of the hids

A little advice and help please.

Mines doing the same. It’s the interior trans harness plug leaking fluid into the connector and the circuits are freaking out. New harness seems to be a problem though. Wires are different

Rear brake conversions to Disc.... Is it worth it?

My truck is a 93 K2500 8 lug. I’ve got the front stoppers from an 03HD. Dual pistons calipers, hubs, brackets, shields,... all the stuff. I want to move my factory discs to the rear and install all the new new up front. I know bout the parking brake. I was going to modify a rear caliper bracket...

    Front brakes help!

You’re correct. They’re talking about “bedding” or sintering brake pads and that was common when less advanced materials were used to make pads and rotors. Now when you over heat a new efficient pad/rotor when they’re new is forms a crystalline in the semi-metallic pads and ruins them. If you’re...

    Dean's Diesel Off Road Build

So I’ve got the real lift pieces as well. I’m not thrilled with the company as they’ve basically said well it fits everyone’s else’s so... sorry. I was taking mine to Moab in June. Ended up taking the TahoeXl “Daisy” and renting Jeeps. I missed meeting Ken Block on Hell’s Revenge by a week Good...

    93 K2500 Lift kit options?

I did not crank my keys. I brought up the ride height in increments until I had a slight pitch on my cv axles. Feels good over bumps and minimal wear on components.

    1993 TBI 454

I’m in the same boat with the high mileage big block. My issue is a weeping two piece rear main and the never ending quest for more power. I’m considering an aftermarket eBay motor or the Edelbrock performance top end and a short block prep.

    93 K2500 Lift kit options?

No issues. Leave the adjustment lobes facing down. The clearance is close but adequate.

    93 K2500 Lift kit options?

I just finished the RC 6” on my 93 K2500 8lug. The company is based in Tn. The kit is built in China. It’s not poorly engineered meaning it’s built sturdy. Everything needed to be modified to fit correctly. The fasteners included are good but bigger than the factory holes so be prepared to...
