    Question: O2 cross counts

I have a 95 K1500 automatic 5.7l. I get intermittent surging. I’ve checked lots of things and replaced lots. I just replaced my fuel pump as the deadhead check didn’t increase pressure but with the new pump it does. Still I get intermittent surging after a 30 minute or so hot soak. Now to...

    Surging idle on cold start

I haven’t cleared the code 44 to see if it comes back. I should. Mine seems O2 sensor rich after the cold start during stumble but lean overall based on fuel trims. If I go wide open throttle, when it’s warmed up and running smooth, it’s a constant lean O2 but if I back off the O2 sensor...

    60/40 Seat issue

Reach up under the seat and pull on the wire/unsheathed cable. See if it will unlock. Sometimes the cable stretches. If you remove your seat and turn it upside down it’s a pretty easy fix to reattach the cable in a way that shortens it. I did that and it’s been good ever since (now 3 years)...

    Surging idle on cold start

It’s interesting to see that your trim cell at idle is No 18. I’m showing a lean condition and code 44. I’m showing an 18 too which I thought might be a problem as the factory service manual showed it to be zero as normal? Maybe that’s an error in the manual since we are both 18. 1995 K1500...

Weathertech digital fit floor liners for GMT400 trucks!

I would like to know if anyone has tried a Weathertech rear mat in an extended cab also. I’m considering ordering the front and rear from weathertech from a suburban. It looks like the rear floor pan is slightly different on an extended cab though.

    Leaking 3rd Brake Light/Cargo Light 1995 K1500

Just an update on my amazon foam gasket. It's now been 6 months and it's still holding up and no links as far as I can tell. I have new carpet from autocustom carpet I installed after fixing the 3rd brake light and I'm not going to pull it up to check but no water on the window and no musty...

    97 1500 steering box replacement

I bought a AC Delco, was kind of loose, took it out, bought an AC Delco, was kind of loose, took it out, Bought a Red Head Std Ratio and never looked back. Was crazy expensive but worth every penny as I probably would have sold my truck without it due to the way I drove so loose. It was...

Is your truck 4WD or 2WD. I wonder if the quick ratio is good for the 4wd?

I would like to know mileage too. I have 305/70/R16s Toyo Open Country Mud Terr with 3:42 gears and I only get 12 to 13 mpg. I drive 70 miles per day and it adds up. For financial responsiblity reasons, I'm considering getting a more street like tread and a 285/75R16 or 265. I would still...

    Changing CV axle

It’s pretty easy. Sway bar end link is a pain though. Spray the fasteners in advance with penetrating oil. If you live in the south like I do probably no issues with the fastener removal but if in snow country corrosion may be your enemy. Take note of the clearance in your sway bar end link...

Brakes much improved without trying - 95 K1500 (Wheel Bearings)

At risk of repetition with any other problematic brake threads, in effort to treat others as I would like to be treated (aka the Golden Rule), I feel as I should report the following. I have had brakes that had a lot of travel before having any stopping power and semi-ok stopping power even...

How small of an increase in mileage? Do you have any other 265/75R16 pics? Thanks!

    Front end overhaul

I installed the new moog upper arms as well. Would I do it again, absolutely, fit great, worked great, great price, and saved a lot of time. After I installed though I was suprised at how close the stabilizer end links are to the upper control arm. I'm near 100 percent sure it was the same...
