    Differential compatibility

K1500 differential won't work? Put 5 lug axles on it? Have one I could get for nothing but for some reason thought it wouldn't work. Can't recall why.

    Differential compatibility

I have a 97 c1500. What year rear differentials would be compatible? Were 4.10 a common option or should I just have mine rebuilt,? thanks

    How to get gauge working??

Now I need figure out why that wire wasn't consistent 5v and where it came from. Lol.

    How to get gauge working??

I edited my post when you replied. May be info there you would find interesting and missed. About sender and the buffer output. Yeah. Far as I can tell it's fine It sweeped when I turn key on and went back to 3/4 full which should be about right.

    How to get gauge working??

First off. I appreciate your help through this, as otherwise I would have never figured this out. Those diagrams are priceless. The sender units are totally different. The opening for the lock ring is way smaller on the v8 unit. The v8 is all metal sender. 4.3 was plastic, 4.3 uses quick...

    How to get gauge working??

So today I learned some things the hard way, after removing the truck bed. I test fuel pressure other day and it was a little off spec, so I put a dw200 in the factory module. Had planned use an ac delco sender for a 5.7 but as it turns out. It will not fit 4.3 tank. Why gm made different...

    How to get gauge working??

I wonder why the buffer is ground on the pcm and why buffer pin D also went pcm. There's also a green wire from in tank pressure sensor, dk green that was cut at the 4 pin connector on firewall but its showing it goes to vcm 25 evap.. So 3couple wires probably causing this issue. Vcm 25 evap...

    How to get gauge working??

There is a fifth connector on top of the pcm.

    How to get gauge working??

That's what's confusing. Is the one green/white pin D on buffer, did go to the 5.7 pcm in my truck.. But I left it out, as the 96 pinout sheet had it marked as unused. So then I thought my 5.7 pcm may be a 98 pcm but then it's my understanding the buffer module was only used in 97 models. So...

    Nv3500 to 5.3 pedal feel

Hold up there, dont get too technical my brain is still on dial up. Lol. Yeah I get what your saying. Today it shift into reverse fine. No hint of grinding. And the truck had sat for over a day, so if it was going bleed down. It had plenty time do it. But pedal feel is still easy compared...

    How to get gauge working??

So after trying bypass the fuel buffer module, it finally sunk in that the buffer converts the varying resistance/ground signal from fuel sender to a voltage signal, that goes to the gauge. So next step is remove cluster and figure out why the fuel gauge isn't grounded

    Nv3500 to 5.3 pedal feel

How would it get air in it? I didn't touch the hydraulics. I unbolted trans and slide it back enough to switch engines,. Won't hurt to bleed it but seems like being untouched, thst variable shouldn't have changed.

    Ls swap fuel gauge ??
