Roller cam engine?

I'm replacing the rear ring and pinion on my 1998 Tahoe and I can't figure out what the pinion depth should be? It's a 8.5 10 bolt with a 3.42 ratio. I know that the pinion depth is supposed to be stamped on the end of the pinion, but I don't know which number it's supposed to be. I included a...

I have the complete transmission and transfer case. I will have to check it out. Do you know if they are the same electronically? I think I read somewhere that the plug in is wired differently.
