1989 Chevy c1500 350 TBI. Noticed my knock sensor connector was broken, just hanging. But, there is no check engine light coming up. The truck is running rich on start up, not sure how much the knock sensor is supposed to affect how well the engine is running. Should there be a code? How will...
Installed a 2in lift coil spacer last year and when my dad took it to get aligned they decided move one of the upper control arm mounts outwards towards the fender. He said it was because the tires looked like this \./ . If I were to take the coil spacers out, would I have to relocate the arms...
My daily given to me by my dad. Have since replaced most of the suspension, tune up, little ods and ends. Plans for future are 6.0/4l80e swap, 2/4 drop, camaro wheels, interior restoration, big front brakes, hood change.
Replaced cap and rotor thinking the tick would go away since it sounds like its coming from near the distributor, no change. Here's a VIDEO of the sound . Thanks
Truck doesn't have them. I'll look at grounds this weekend. Really sucks not having them at night, plus I want to do the cluster LED swap. Do you have any idea where I can get wiring diagrams?
1989 Chevy C1500. No dash/dome lights. Gauges work. Dad said they stopped working after an accident on the drivers side cab corner. Any clues on how I should begin to approach this problem? Any fuses or wiring schematics that can help. Thanks
1989 C1500 2 Door. Stereo works, but as soon as you shut the engine off, the stereo turns off as well. Is this normal? I want to be able to listen to the stereo with the key in the ignition but engine not running. Thanks for any help
I'm pretty sure I placed the rod in the right place. The switch comes in the "Lock" position and I put the ignition cylinder also in the lock position. Either way it did that before I even replaced it.
