    ‘97 5.7 build w 0411 swap bypassing the supercharger questions…

So after numerous suggestions I’ve taken the Powerdyne supercharger out of equation for now by bypassing the plumbing and putting a basic cold air intake on the truck in order to get a good baseline tune and starting point and the truck is actually driveable now and better than it has been since...

The HPP Racing tune that wasn’t a tune at all

Well alrighty then, thank you for educating me on this! Would I be correct in thinking I should bypass this and run my few lines direct like they are normally? This FMU set up was operating off of vacuum that was coming directly from the plumbing for the supercharger and the intake, I just have...

The HPP Racing tune that wasn’t a tune at all

Well putting the 2 Bar back made all the difference in the world…and taking the supercharger out of the equation is something I definitely should’ve done from the start and got everything right with the build before putting it back in the mix… It’s still needing to be tuned ofcourse, but I can...

The HPP Racing tune that wasn’t a tune at all

I was kinda hoping someone would confirm what I was already telling myself I should do…it’s all just so foreign to me and there’s so much information out there to try to go through and process…and I’ve got the attention span of…”oh look a Skittle” lol…

The HPP Racing tune that wasn’t a tune at all

I live in Mabank, about 50 miles SE of Dallas…for about 9 days a month…the rest of the month I’m in Hobbs, NM… I swapped out the 2 Bar with 1 Bar at the same time bypaaaed the supercharger and plumbed in the cold air setup…sat the 2 Bar up by the antenna and at some point it ended up on the...

The HPP Racing tune that wasn’t a tune at all

Ok it’s been awhile since I’ve had a chance to work on my truck, but maybe a couple of y’all will remember my last post about my experience with taking my ‘97 with rebuilt 5.7, upgrades, 0411 swapped, Powerdyne Supercharger to get it tuned and the guy tuning it basically took my money and didn’t...

    ‘97 SWB 5.7 4L60E 0411 swapped…build dyno sheet…

well that’s cool, for some reason I thought you were from up north somewhere! Sorry bout that… Lol Ordering 2-Wideband O2 Sensors w/pigtail for wiring them up, a bung to weld on the one header, new fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure gauge & setup…??? After I get my pinout sheet rounded up...

    ‘97 SWB 5.7 4L60E 0411 swapped…build dyno sheet…

I think you hit the nail on the head about the just not wanting to mess with it…I just wasn’t expecting to have a negative experience dealing with the place cause everyone I talked to had nothing but great things to say about the place and the shop is pretty well known to be the go to place in...

    ‘97 SWB 5.7 4L60E 0411 swapped…build dyno sheet…

The graph is all I got from them…their normal office lady wasn’t there and told me she would email me everything when she got back in…and all the email had was the graph…they strapped it down, guy hooked up his laptop, they had one device/tool secured to the end of the exhaust from the right...

    ‘97 SWB 5.7 4L60E 0411 swapped…build dyno sheet…

I assumed that when their computers are hooked up, or plugged into the truck that information and data like that was being gathered, read and recorded at all times by the software/system? Where would be the best place to install a fuel pressure gauge on the system/truck?

    ‘97 SWB 5.7 4L60E 0411 swapped…build dyno sheet…

As far as the new spider/injectors…I didn’t go bigger on the size of injectors…I just bought the new style OEM specs replacement that did away with the factory “poppet” style/design…so I shouldn’t need to know the “duty cycle” for it correct? As far as the “air/fuel alpha” in the exhaust, I have...

    ‘97 SWB 5.7 4L60E 0411 swapped…build dyno sheet…

Thanks for the link for the bungs…you are correct, I went with long tube headers and only one side had a bung… And he claimed that the O2 sensor on the side I have it isn’t communicatiing or there’s no signal that that O2 sensor is even there and/or plugged in…suggesting I buy 2 new ones...

    ‘97 SWB 5.7 4L60E 0411 swapped…build dyno sheet…

What’s been done so far to my ‘97 C1500 2WD SWB 5.7 4L60E w the an old Powerdyne Supercharger BD-11A… Did the 0411 swap before pulling the 5.7 out and to the machine shop… I sent an 0411 to Lextech and he did the basic program/tune whatever to it…did the swap per his pinout sheets, and...
