Niiiice!!! That 383 is gonna tear up the road! I'd definitely be stoked to follow your progress! With that 4:1 first, you'd be a rocket from a stop...besides having a whippled 383...lol Are you 411 swapped? Just curious... If I'm not mistaken, I think you can use one of the digital input wires...

Hi there! To partially answer your question, yes, after bolting the 6L to the block, there was (in my case) sufficient spacing between the torque converter and flexplate. My magic numbers were 1/4" minimum and 3/8" maximum - I was somewhere in between. This is with no modification to the torque...

Hey all. Sorry to bring this thread back. Erik the Awful did mention that I needed to log in and give an update and so I've read all the posts since I last posted. The 6L80 is still running strong! I haven't had any problems with it at all. I did pull a stock 2013 Corvette A6 tune from the HP...

I haven't inquired about their tuning service, though I'm sure it would make this a ton easier. My goal is to keeping this project as cheap as I can. So far it's just under $1500.

Update....I've been fiddling with shift points and pressures to my liking. I'm no smart folk when it comes to playing with pressure numbers, so it's been back and forth between my driveway and test routes. I dang near have all upshifts feel super comfortable between normal, moderate, and WOT...

I haven't layed into it yet...but I'll give her a go. I've been curious as well and just wanted to make sure I put some miles on it without any issues first.

I am not sure. The module comes with a base calibration file for the trans. Most likely, if you calibrate your tps, and your trans is good, theoretically it would act like it should. I believe my issues were a misunderstanding between the OBD2 port tuning and the module's software and the fact...

Nice! Pick up these bur bits (pictured). They will make your life easier to modify your flexplate and your trans mount, if you go that route!

Man! I wished I could upload my video....I finally got the truck shifting at acceptable levels! Took it around the block, then about a 30 minute drive and all is well. There could be additional tweaking to make it shift like a new car, but I am not super inclined on the tuning aspect and I am...

Yep, t-taps aren't permanent. Once everything is dialed in, I'll have fun with soldering.

Do you have a wire at pin 10 of the red connector?

Yeppers! To include changing the gear ratio if need be.

I don't think so. You may get away with not having to modify driveshaft length, but will have to adjust the length for the crossmember trans mount such as I did with my 4wd. It almost seems that the 6L90 would more match length from bellhousing to tailshaft.
