Tech: Every possible dash switch for GMT400 trucks

The switch you posted is from a gmt800, which is why it's a round button and doesn't fit the same.

Tech: 88-89 GMT400 Quad Sealed Beam upgrades (Bosch T84 E-code headlights)

The Bosch lights are not available. I too tried the method you described long ago, the bulb base is that of a H3 however the optical length is much different. Tossing hids in makes light but it's definitely not correctly patterned.

How to: 95-98 OBS and 99-02 NBS Steering Wheel Audio Control Install

Search for a PAC adapter for a 2001-2002 Denali or 2002 Escalade. As long as you have a good splice it is fine. There is no special lengths or resistances in the wires. The plugs though are unique in that if one is unplugged they close the circuit which tells the SIR computer the airbag is missing.

Yes and no. I'm trying to get as much productive done while off work. Also if i can get enough done and get the parts out of my storage unit tomorrow I don't have to pay another month.

Yeah Yeah Yeah I had been working remotely from home (saving me 2 hours of driving a day) and last and this week have been off on furlough. So I have been working on the truck and other projects. I'm quite far along, this forum is just a less active place for me. Pulling photos from my phone...

    Can the dash be swapped

Yes, though you will have to change the air ducting and a little bit of the lengths of the passenger side wiring to accommodate the dash shape change. Otherwise it's pretty much a direct swap.

    K3500 Gearing

slow to respond, but a dually stock runs a 225/75R16. TINY tire. You can go up to a 235/85R16 without the need for rear spacers between the duals, or you can go for spacers and run a 255/85R16. That is what my 98 had, what my 06 has, and what @83GMCK2500 has. I calculated it out, me switching...

If it was a factory paint on the squarebody, then it very likely is. This color was a very common choice on 67-72 and 73-79 GM trucks. Usually it's called Omaha orange back then. The heads are just regular vortec heads. The motor is the same one that I had in the truck (has ~6k miles on it...

Look up sunblast or sunburst yellow, it's another GM color that is also quite bright.

Tangier Orange or Omaha Orange, depending on the year and application. It's a OE GM color. This is the earlier version, it was tweaked within the last couple decades and was not quite as vibrant.

So, that is about where I am currently to date. I keep going farther and farther down a rabbit hole with this, it was originally intended as a clean, easy refresh of the truck and after doing the bodywork and paint, has turned into a full on restore everything type of frame off restoration. It...
