I am looking to Turbocharge my 98 Tahoe, How should I prepare my engine, what mods do I need/would be recommended.

I’ve always heard less compression for a forced induction setup, so maybe dished pistons. Excited to see how this turns out! *Added last sentence, and fixed autocorrect dishes.

    85 Prelude Resurrection Project

It’s going to look way better under the hood than all the vacuum spaghetti on those 80’s Hondas.

    Tool Warranties... Who cares?

My 20ish year old Craftsman ratchets were getting a little sticky. I thought I might have to replace them with Chinese stuff, but luckily a few sprays of silicone WD40 freed up the mechanism. I had been putting off replacing them for years. They were doing the thing where they wouldn’t really...

The one that got away - 95 Z71

Thanks, it was kinda sad to get that phone call. It was one of those times where it is lucky you do the report of sale. After I got all moved and settled in Washington, my latest 88 Chevy yard truck came into my life. If weighs 1600 pounds less than the old z71, at around 4000 instead of 5600...

The one that got away - 95 Z71

My first gmt400 was an awesome green 95 z71. I drove it all over Northern California when I lived down there. First thing I had to do when I got it home was the intake manifold gasket. Ended up being a real good truck for me for a couple years. I ended up selling it to get a bigger car for...

    Hello from Washington

Ok, drums weren’t adjusted right. I brought it to Les Schwab and they adjusted them a bit. Feels better. Luckily I have a super early abs and it could be bled with a regular bleeder valve on top of the unit. On a side note, when I was working on the drums, I cinched an old web belt around...

    Hello from Washington

Cool that there are so many people on the board up here. Just got some new tires, I’ll try to put up picks tomorrow. I did the rear brakes because I some how blew a wheel cylinder while it sat during the Christmas snow storm. I have a soft brake pedal now, and the tire shop didn’t really...

    Hello from Washington

Thank you! It is in good shape for its age. 119k miles, and I think it was the cheapest truck in my part of the state right now. Excited to get it back in great shape.
