    I'm going to replace my engine on my 98 K1500 5.7 and don't plan on going back in with the cooler lines. I have read that you can remove the fittings, plug with 3/8p plugs and remove the cooler bypass valve. Which valve is the cooler bypass valve? I don't have my engine out yet to want to...

    Vortec 350 belt system with TBI intake?

    There is someone selling a still in truck vortec and it comes with a TBI intake for it if i want it. Suppose to be 100k. I can check it out running, with the included intake it seems like a good deal. TBI engines are hard to come by it seems. I don't like buying without hearing it run.

    Vortec 350 belt system with TBI intake?

    I am thinking about putting in a 350 in my 95 C1500 that has 4.3. If I buy a complete 350 Votrec and use a TBI intake, can I use the front pulley system still? And will the EGR supply tube fit to the same spot on the TBI intake?

    Plus had to make a bracket for the added brake switch. Ran a GM vacuum switch then to the lock up on the trans. Ran a 5amp fuse from the ignition side. Also ran a Lokar back up switch. New bolts for the flex plate. The Lokar shifters have a reputation for being noisy and rattle. It's true...

    I just did this in my 95 C1500. I used the same crossmember, there was holes in the frame forward of the old holes for the auto. My TBI had a place for the TV cable and a spot in the bracket. I did grab a used driveshaft from the junkyard. Used a Lokar trans mount shifter. Got new cooler...

    How long do the conventional AC Delco plugs last in a Vortec 350 (98) vs. Platinum? Plugs are already in and was wondering what life span the conventional plugs get in real life scenarios? I putt less than 3K miles a year.

    Seat cushion repairs

    I have a new to me 1998 GMC K1500 and the driver seat kinda sags. Looks like the springs/frame is starting to cut into the cushion What would you use to reinforce the cushion? I have seen some glue on patches in other seats that the upholstery shop have done.

    Intake Manifold HELP

    To be honest if I was in a pinch I would just replace them and torque them to German specs aka goodntite. I assume the coolant is leaking? I would be more concerned with getting the timing right.

    Isn't taking the front clip off the same amount of work as just pulling that engine? I have not pulled a OBS grunt clip off but did a 82. The 82 didn't have nearly as many items attached to it, also no A/C.

    My 95 RCSB has the factory wheels like that. I was thinking of doing the same to my Tahoe. I have 3 wheels and 4 rings and center caps with nut covers. Just wanted to see what they look like before putting tires on them.
