    Brake hose

I would expect both sides to act similarly, provided the hoses and calipers are both equally functional. Did you replace the hose(s)? They can act like check valves... maybe explaining the driver's side behavior. (edit: I see your earlier post now about the hoses). If the driver's side...

    Brake hose

I assume the pins aren't dragging so that the caliper's free to move, and the brake hose isn't acting like a check valve so that the piston's free to move, and the rotor's run-out is w/in spec at <.002 so that you're not wrestling with a high-spot. One question I always harbor about the...

    Cunningham Machine Upper/Lower Steering Shafts?

Or, once engaged, spin the steering wheel 180deg so the set screw's facing up for E-Z access.

Unhooked parts in my engine bay.

Here are some overview pictures of the engine bay, relevant to your question, from my 1998 L31 Suburban. Sorry their resolution isn't great, they were taken in Nov 2001 w/a 1M pixel camera (remember those days?). Every picture shows something relevant, just study each long enough.

Unhooked parts in my engine bay.

One part that's missing is plastic hardline which leads from the solenoid on the RH engine bay. The OE line was formed with bends to conform to the routing, and rubber(?) fittings on either end which mated with the solenoid and... whatever was on the other end (the canister?) Plain old rubber...

    Brake problem...

Perhaps I mis-understood the issue with copper on automobiles. The issue seems to be that gasoline can cause the copper to become brittle... https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/copper-fuel-line-bad-idea.213327/ Use copper with propane: Not a problem. My memory (what's left of it...

    Cunningham Machine Upper/Lower Steering Shafts?

I think what he's saying is to flip / rotate the U-joint 180degrees on the steering wheel's shaft (pull it off, and re-install it 180deg out). NOW, with the steering wheel at 12 o'clock and the steering gear's input shaft at 12 o'clock, re-install the U-joint upon the steering gear's input...

    Brake problem...

I thought it was unwise to use copper in an automotive environment… the copper can’t tolerate vibration, so cracks and leaks ensue. It’s definitely a no-no for use in fuel lines. Thank goodness for dual circuit brakes. We’ve got a 1964(?) Chevy C60 single axle straight trunk and it’s got a...

    Brake problem...

IIRC that light is triggered by an imbalance in the pressure between the front and rear brake systems. There’s a switch near the MC that’s connected to both systems. A pressure imbalance between them pushes the switch’s internal contacts so that contact is made and the electrical circuit...

”Nbs Rear Rotor options for obs swap 6 Lug to 2wd 5 Lug Options?

I’ll say “that might not be enough brake” for a ~6000# C1500 Suburban like yours, with about half that weight the rear, oversized tires (which you mentioned in another post) and the potential for pulling a trailer. @Erik the Awful made good points from a maintainability and performance...

”Nbs Rear Rotor options for obs swap 6 Lug to 2wd 5 Lug Options?

I’ve had shops turn me away, claiming liability concerns… “brakes” being a safety matter. Maybe some shops will do such work, but I’ve come to assume they won’t. Maybe they’re saving my a$$ by keeping me from doing something stupid.

    Cunningham Machine Upper/Lower Steering Shafts?

Some (all?) steering gears have, by design, a "high spot" at 12 o'clock, where the "feel" is intentionally tighter when driving straight. That "high spot" exists for perhaps +-10 degrees of input shaft rotation ("steering wheel" rotation). If the steering gear shaft's not at 12 o'clock when...

    Arteb Headlights / Taillights End-of-Life (?)

That's crossed my mind. I haven't pursued it because... Truth is, we have yet another buyer in Germany ("Buyer2") and, provided this shipment makes it to Buyer1, we'll consider having Buyer1 forward it to Buyer2. I hope folks appreciate that this ain't like buying a clock radio on Amazon w/...
