I know you said no shock extendors but I ran some from djm along with orieleys air shocks and my truck Rode like a dream its was 4-8 and I could pull my pop up camper all over Texas with it

Extenders are where its at. They make a HUGE difference. It puts the shocks in an orientation that they actually work. Otherwise they aren't doing much of anything because they are more like pivots than shocks. They need to be more vertical so they can actually function

Does anyone know if the bilstein drop shock which 0-4" will work on a five inch rear drop? I it says to four, but I wouldn' think an extra inch would be a deal breaker.

I'm going to be doing a 4/6 drop, and just for now I'm going with the stock Monroe shocks in the back since they are close to new and the drop kit comes with the shock extenders. Will the fronts be ok for the time being with a 2" spindle and 2" spring drop, or does someone know a part number to a shock that would have similar ride quality but would work better with the drop? I skimmed through all of the posts but there doesn't seem to be anything definitive for the fronts
I was a 4-7 in the rear I had shock extenders and I used air shocks ran the lines out the bumper so I could air up when I had load or leave a little air in rear for smooth ride

As to his original question, I don't " think " spindle drop changes shock size, but changing springs will.. Some of you guys correct me if I am wrong.

Do you have to run the shock extenders if you get the shorter shocks? Can someone explain the rear options for me. Im new to having lowered trucks
