I imagined someone has done this before and I'm just looking to be steered in the right direction. I understand that the wheelbase difference are as follows:

4 Door Tahoe/Yukon: 117.5"
2 Door Blazer/Tahoe: 111.5"

I would imagine that the best place to cut the 6 inches out of the frame is directly under that cab in the flat section. My question is, is there a difference between the 2wd 4dr frames?

The donor body is a 94 2dr Tahoe and the potential 4dr 2wd frame is from a 99 Tahoe.

The engine crossmembers are different between 2wd and 4wd frames.
Well of course they are...
But O.P. states the 2 door and the 4 door are both 2wd...

@tetfemal The fuel tank locations are different. The 2 door is behind the rear axle. The 4 door uses a midship tank like a pickup truck and a spare tire behind the axle. It'll be a major refabrication to install a rear mounted tank. It's not impossible, its more than a simple cut and shorten.
Also, the rear frame length after the axle is also longer than the 2 door, so there's a second batch of frame cuts necessary.
If the 2 door body is good, it'd be MUCH cheaper to sell the 4 door parts to purchase a good 2 door frame.

Yes I am aware of that. There is a guy that is selling this pretty decent 94 Tahoe tub and I was trying to determine if a factory 2wd 4 door frame cut down to the right wheelbase would work.

I’m unsure if it makes a difference, but that truck in the picture (4x4 Blazer) may be an earlier one (92-93) judging by the tailgate emblem’s location, so best get a picture of the VIN in case there are some oddball frame variances in the years.

I searched there first and there were two. One in GA, one in FL. Both are well over 1500 miles away

It’s a 94 Tahoe 4wd. That’s why I originally asked the differences in the frames. 94 and 99 frames
