I'm looking at new ball joints and possibly bushings for my 90, C1500 2x4.

I get a discount at my local Advance Auto/Carquest.
Moog lower joints (full as I retail don't know my discount until the part is billed) are $81
I see good recommendations for Mevotech TTX joints. Retail $40 on amazon. Just went to the first google search.

So are the TTX joints as good or better than Moog? I always thought Moog was about as good as you can get?
The same deal with control arm bushings Moog $42 a pair and Mevotech $16 pair.

I see there is another thread from 2018 discussing this, so thought I'd ask again to see if the consensus has changed.

It's only been 100 years since I've bought suspension parts. Thanks!

Both Mevotech and Moog have rebranded Chinesium **** along with a much better product line that's worth buying. Mevotech's good stuff is TTX and Moog's is "Problem Solver." Avoid either brand's cheap stuff and you'll probably be OK.

ETA: I like Moog and have used them almost exclusively. In the part number, their Problem Solver line starts with the letter C and their cheap line starts with an R. <--was going off what was in my amazon cart. this applies to the complete front control arms.

I haven't used the ttx line but I did try the Supreme an wasn't impressed with it at all. I wouldn't use that level of their products again over Moog.

No first hand experience with TTX but there have been several threads on various forums about the difference between the TTX and the lower grade Supreme line. It seems that TTX is the best you can currently get for these trucks.

Back when I did my front end parts Moog was just starting to go downhill but their Problem Solver line was still top quality and I havent had any problems since, not sure how their new Top line is holding up though.

I rebuilt the entire front end of my 2wd 1990 truck using moog problem solver parts in 2018. Back then, not sure about now, I was able to get whole new lower and upper control arms with the ball joints and bushings already installed which made life way easier. Do not try energy suspension poly bushings, they do not fit.

HMMMM Went back the the Advance site looking at part numbers. The Moog part #s start with K. The Advance "Driveworks" have the same part # but start with DW. Making a BIG assumption. The K numbers may be the Problem Solver??????? Who the heck knows.

I heard too many stories about squeaky polyurethane bushings so will stick with rubber. I also looked at loaded control arms but they come at a pretty steep price.
