I have an aftermarket remote car starter that I want to install on my 92 C1500 Silverado. The start and run part is simple enough, but I'm stuck on how to wire the remote door locks. These trucks don't use relays (do they?) for the door lock circuits, so I'm lost on how to wire them. Anyone else done this?
TIA, Jess in ky

Would have to add relays. Some systems come with built in relays
I had thought that, but looking at the schematic, it appears the switches take the places of the relays, and how to activate these remotely and still keep their original functions is out of my understanding.

signal from the aftermarket controller goes to a set of relays. Output of the relays ties in to the wiring for the door locks.

You have to use two relays and break the motor wires.... 87a goes to switch, 30 to the motors, 85 and 87 to 12v, 86 to your R/S negative door lock output
Thanks!!! Has anyone drawn up a schematic that shows this and the color of the factory wires?

You drew something up for me, I then had to re-draw so my brain could understand. Anyway, this worked for me.
