After that, had to prime the motor with my magic homemade primer tool... I was able to pump 4qts of oil in and push the gauge to 17psi with this setup... rotated the crank little by little till all the rockers had oil.

Wow 17psi, that's high enough for idle. No weeds in the engine either :-D

Yessir! I rotated it by hand until all the rockers had oil dripping. I could have put an air fitting on the bottle to get more pressure but, that was enough to make sure the gauge works and the motor is primed for the first start after sitting. It worked out really well. To hell with the $300 primer bottles...

Oh and... yep, the motor is weed free! HAHA

Had old girl on the Dyno the other day for a few pulls and tune tweek.. found out I need bigger injectors to maximize WOT. The tuner adjusted the tune and it runs awesome now... (the previous tune was super basic) got 80hp more out of it with the right adjustments... and when the new injectors come in should be able to squeeze some more...

Dyno tune is worth every cent!!!

Are you running the truck's original driveshaft or have you made a new one? I ask , because I'll be planning some dyno pulls in the near future, after my LS swap, and am concerned about the critical speed of the stock shaft. Thanks
