I can positively say avoid Jegs brand head bolts. So much for made in the USA with high quality materials. This one snapped at some point and was just laying in the head. At this point I am just going to pull both heads. Get a set of Felpros that are already thread sealed without the stupid washers under the heads and throw them in with new head gaskets. Probably best explains the coolant leak.

troubleshooting can be bitter sweet sometimes.... at least the intakes off. do you torque these like a standard SBC. i have seen some newer mercrusier literature where they do TTY. not familiar with the vortec stuff.

Those Jegs bolts called for 70 ft/lbs in 3 equal steps.

I watched some videos on tunning. To say I’ve got some terminology to get acquainted with would be putting it mildly. I would like to learn how to do it, but I’d be starting at zero. WhatI do I need to get in order to start?
