I've looked at 2 more pre 94's since and funny one was down the street. Best potential choice yet........ but that frame rust. Today's victim is "sposed to be a Florida truck with minimal no rust.....we'll see ~

I've looked at 5 now.

Electronics after 93 & those turbo diesel. I practically gave away my 6.5 the other day. Yeah i can figure out all the electronics but quite frankly the "babysitting" it takes to monitor a 6.5 turbo or any "over wired" truck is just not a rewarding challenge any more.......just a PITA ~

Sometimes it takes a while, but I believe the right truck is out there.... I looked for a long time before I found mine. Yesterday I had two people ask me about my CCLB, wanting to buy it or telling me what I need to be doing with it. Had the truck a week, first time that happened. Had a guy at a bus stop, compliment me on it, and tell me "how much work I could do with a truck like that" while we were in Austin last week. That trip was the first "vacation" in a year....
I appreciate the compliments though; 400s are damn good looking trucks! I saw a current version of the CCLB, Silverado 3500 HD; it just looks ugly, blocky, and constipated next to my truck!

It's almost hard to be polite on how many question you need to ask these sellers.

"1990 4-wheel drive runs good." : 1 tire flat to the rim all low and front drive shaft missing when i got there...lol

actually it is a candidate if I could take on a project as it was the most rust free truck I looked at yet. who knows what the front pumpkin needs? (wife was not impressed)

truck is in Okahumpka, FL on FB for 2500

That is the way to do it!

I bought mine to fill in for my unreliable dodge diesel on a camping trip. I spent about 15 minutes looking, then bought it. I have made it closer to what I wanted, but could have done much better if I had the time to look like the OP is doing.

found another 93 to look at in the morn........

Report: It had a bad spot in the frame above the rear spring perch. I over looked some rocker panel concerns I'm not in welding mood ~ Might of bought if not for that. I need something I can put into service relatively quick ~
