I guess I jumped on the “Yellowstone” / Tecovas bandwagon. My wife got me these suede Tecovas ropers for Christmas last year. Reasonably priced for a handmade boot and very comfortable.

I don't question the indulgences of others, I like a nice watch and a good bottle of scotch, but I've never, ever, owned a pair of boots besides work boots. Not will I ever.
I can appreciate the workmanship of handmade quality items, but when I see someone around with fancy boots like the ones this company makes, they invariably look like they've never actually done a day's work much less a hard day's work in their lives! Like bro, you're a banker. Stop trying to be blue collar...

When I was in the oilfield Redwing was my go-to boot. They're good. I don't think they're all that expensive considering they're more "work" boots and if you're working in them all day every day you'll typically pay whatever the cost for a pair that fit you right and serve your needs.

Lucchese's are crazy. Stopped at the outlet mall in OKC and checked out the Lucchese store there. Sales lady was really pushing me towards a pair of elephant boots "on sale" for $3k. Not only no but hell no lol
Twisted x is my oilfield boot of choice. Super comfy but can only get 6 months max out of them.

Now see I wanted a pair of Tecovas for ever, made plans with my dad to ride the bikes out there and everything, but then they became popular and now I don’t want them :rotflmao:

I can’t jump on the hey dudes bandwagon either. You just can’t beat a pair of crocs with socks hahaha

I wear Red Wings boots and always thought they were pretty expensive, but WOW! Some of these brands are wild.

I just looked up Lucchese, their catalog ranges from $300 to $15,000. For one pair of boots.
I’ve got a pair of Airiats that match this interior, tan goat skin with brown full quill ostrich. They were $700 5 years ago and I mightve worn them 4 times. $200 rubber sole boots are my norm, but I’ll never that kind of cash on boots again lol

My original post should have said around here...
You know the guys. My brother in law went to some country concert up at Busch stadium in St Louis a few years back and said "I've never seen so many pairs of new boots in my life"...

Oh yea, I know those guys…
There’s some in my family lol. They leave their boots here at the ranch because I make them walk through the pasture to get to the beer fridge.
