The older I get the less I want to go fast anymore.
My thoughts exactly, I pull a trailer so much I find myself driving like I'm pulling even when I'm not. Just the thought of a cargo trailer wrecked and tools scattered is enough to make a grown man cry.

I don't think my 95 will even hit that number. I think I'll run out of engine before I hit 90. At 80 I'm turning roughly 3100 and red line is 3500ish.
Really? What gears and size tires do you have? I have 4.11s and 275/60-R15s (~28") where at 80 MPH I'm turning ~2800 RPM. Your TBI engine should turn ~4000 RPM before it falls flat.

4.10's and 265/75/16. Have to remember a 6.5 won't wind up as fast as a 5.7. My gasser will never see much more then 65 the steering is to loose for my liking at highway speeds and I have no plans on fixing that. In town driving it is ok which is where it spends its time.

Just thought I'd update this thread. My truck has really woke up. With a cool front, and cooler temps, it runs as good now if not better than before. It was improving over time anyway. It has always like cooler air though. I know that the ECM does learn and make some adjustments to your driving habits, somewhat, and of course, my habit is pedle to the metal. I can't help it, it's just how I am. I just can't stand to go slow.

So does that mean we can call you "Sonic the hedgehog"? Since his motto is "gotta go fast"....

I remember back when we still had square body Burbs with carburetors; they always ran better when the air outside was cooler, in spring and fall. Colder denser air works better in the combustion chamber.

Yeah, on these the IAT (Intake Air Temp) sensor feedback to the ECM/PCM will cause it to pull timing based on how hot your air is. I don't have one on mine so, IF I was real energetic, I would run different tunes for summer and winter, but I'm not. Someday I'll hook one up to my EBL. Unfortunately the older TBI ECMs don't have that capability.

It has been reported time and time again that part store sensors May not read correctly, maybe rich or lean. I have seen this with my wideband gauge, where 20+ year old sensors kept the wide band right on 14.7 with an occasional dip to 14.6 for a brief second. Brand new densos from rock auto liked to keep it around 14.1. Aftermarket Bosch are SUPPOSED to have the worst reputation for this. Never heard anything bad about ac Delco, or denso, ntk. It's a voltage scale, supposed to read about 450 mv or so at stoichiometry.

Just installed two new Front Bosch O2 Sensors - now I'm getting P0134 and P0154

They are reading - I can see the values in the scan tool. So I have reset the PCM and now it's relearning the sensors - might need another one or two trips.

I've replaced the original 20 year old GM Genuine ACdelco AFS93. I didn't have a code - just high fuel consumption and a one bank misfire which I'm tracing.

I'm thinking, I should have just gone with the ACdelco right away.... lets see if the Bosch are compatible.

Some new O2 sensors are using fast fourth generation technology, and some older vehicles can't read or keep up with how fast they switch. And therefore the pcm will generate a fault code. I installed a new Walker Exhaust sensor in the mini and it didn't like it. Then ordered new NTK sensor= no problem, no codes.
Ntk published a bulletin on older vehicles needing sensors that are " tuned" to older , not as smart pcm.
I use the NTK in my O2 sensor choice, all six vehicles. I have had no issues, run great right out of the box.
