Both times I entered TOTM I only got one vote each time other than myself so it’s all in what people like an it could be my pics or whatever but in deed don’t think I’d have it in the bag since I would’ve thought to have gotten more votes even when being posted early in competition.
Truth is, the last time you entered, I voted for you, BC your trucks is very clean. Just BC, you haven't won TOTM, doesn't mean, you don't have a very nice truck. It's all up to what the members like, and what they vote for. As soon as it looks like interest in TOTM is fading, I get several last minute enteries. As long as there is interest in this contest, I will keep it going. So, if you don't win, you can always keep entering. Yes, a back story is always good, a long with all the work you have done to the truck, or just how unmolested the truck really is. Info, is a good thing, but only to a point. When it gets to a 5 min read, it's to long. Also, pics, are grate, but they should be of different things. Interior, exterior, under the hood, rims, and tires, ECT. At all of the car shows I attend, the things the judges look for are 5 categories. Interior, exterior, rims, and tires, under the hood, and over all condition. These are the things that make a vehicle stand out. The last trophy I won, the judge said I scored a 38, out of a possible 50. He said, 38, was a very high score. There were vehicles there, that didn't score 20 points. It's all kind of the same thing here. Your pics should reflect, the complete vehicle. If all of your pics are just of the exterior of the truck, the the engine bay, interior, ECT are all missing for being judged. I wish we could post about 10 pics per entery, but that just isn't fair to have multiple post on just 1 vehicle. Keep in mind that, yes, you know exactly what you have, but no one else does. All they have, is your story, and your pics.

I tossed my hat in the ring to help keep it going. I like seeing what folks have done and why they do it. Perversely, i didn't even vote for my own ride as i feel many others are better fits for TOTM.

Likewise! I want to keep TOTM going too, I think it's a good way to show off your truck and everything you've done with it. Not everyone reads build threads....
And I'm happy my big fella is currently in 2nd place, to a very nice truck I have no problem losing to!

I also entered because I wanted TOTM to survive. I was too lazy to do a build thread and 5 pics were easy. I get an unbelievable amount of helpful info from this site and wanted to contribute something. My lack of contributions isn't because I don't want to. You guys know "Trucks", unfortunately I know a truck.

Btw I do like TOTM but I do feel categories are the way to go as not have same round up of trucks every time an maybe have it be more specific like rusted around but rollin on nice wheels 1.
Color matched bed caps 2.
Stock custom wheels 3
Aftermarket custom wheels 4
Done it yourself Interior mods 5
Paid for interior mods 6
Custom paint job 7
Won a actual trophy at a car show 8
Best in snow pic 9
Best in the woods 10
Best broken down in yard 11
Super Rare options 12
A few categories to maybe spark a few TOTM months? But no worries if not lol

Yes, I'm kind of thinking about bringing back the categories. Maybe 1500, then 2500, then 3500. Then long roofs, IDK. I'm afraid to get to specific, for pertisapation issues. Also thinking about a Truck of the Year, using the past winners. Guess I could run that in January for this year. I don't have the details worked out yet.
