Looking good. Hopefully next year I get to tackle painting my pig. Neat part of painting yourself is if you fudge it up, hit it with a sander and do better next time. And I'd LOVE to get my hands on some "hideous" wheels like that in your rendering!!! Lol. Funny thing is I'm thinking of the same style of two-tone, but black on to and a charcoal grey lower. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Canuk , yes I have many do - overs so far lol.....Im not sold on the two tone yet ......I really like this trucks gray mono color so I may just go with this much simpler mono sprayout since its my first paint job and I dont know what I am doing ......hope the owner is ok with me posting this pic. Every manufacturer has a color similar to this out there these days........I found this two tone black over silver/gray on the net kind of interesting too ....... I kind of hate my grill - I have the W/T grill and its too "busy" with tons of grates going across it ......

That two tone is nice! I want a darker grey but that's awesome. Thanks for sharing that. I was never a fan of the W/T grill. But those are changed out easily enough, well, if you can find one in a boneyard.
Nothing wrong with "building" up your skills. Do the mono job, if you like it, later on you can spray the top a different color.
Any updates on the motor? That is a killer path you are taking with it. Love it.

Tx...I have been bouncing back and forth...mechanicals - paint n body....fuel pump, regulator and fuel lines are in. I had to move the slotted motor mounts back a few inches as the driveshaft wasn't penetrating the tranny enough, so that's now fixed, got the starter wired and in, got the exhaust y pipes and mid pipe in, started wiring the engine compartment but switched to bodywork....so it's coming along slowly ....I'm taking my time this time stealing away an HR or two at a time max. I'm trying not to kill myself trying to finish it which I usually do.....leisurely pace....working in a 100 degree hot garage doesn't help lol....I will post updates ...,

Went inexpensive as I don't know what I am doing ...Rust-Oleum primer ,paint and acetone. Cheap Hplv gun from Amazon 1.4 tip . I tried the Harbor freight purple gun for under $20 but it didn't work well for me ....was spitting during use - defective ?
