Hey fellas. Wanting to go with a 325/50/15 on a 10” wheel. Maybe even a 12” wide wheel if I can.

I’ll be widening the rear fender wells as well. Just curious if anyone has pics of the frame with the springs moved in. Just want to see what others have done.

I’ll probably cover it on YouTube as there is just no video on the subject for the OBS.

I might even do a sway bar on the back if I’m not happy with the way it rides but I want the truck looking better with a nice wide tucked tire. Truck is notched and lowered as is

Ill be mounting a 20 gallon bell between the frame rails under the bed to ditch the stock tank as well.

Can't remember anyone doing this without doing a custom back half frame. Could be wrong, but I have a pretty extensive 90s-2000s magazine collection and I'm sure I'd remember that.
Could you hillbilly it by running some tubing from frame rail to frame rail and attach new mounting points to that?
Can't wait to see what you come up with. Please don't just post to utube, we deserve pics here too!!! Good luck.

I am going to figure it out, but wanted to see wha others did. I will modify as needed. Just going to flip springs from outer right to inner left and visa versa.

Only thing I haven’t figured out is how much room I’ll have for the fuel cell and how I’ll get it mounted properly to tuck as high as I can. Funny part is the only issue I have that I don’t want to deal with is running new fuel line. Lol. I’ll probably do a trap door in the bottom of the bed for fuel cell access. Try to keep it clean.

No worries,it's just a build made famous by Boyd Coddington back in the Day. Hope you achieve your goal.

Thanks man. I assumed by the name that would be what you meant. I just cannot for the life of me recall seeing it. I might google it just for inspiration

Good stuff for someone that doesn’t want to mod and wants the 315 or less

I’m going 325/50 on a 12” wheel. That’s the goal. I’ll go with a wider tire even later

There's several Co.'s that make spring relocation kits for Mopars.
It may be possible to adapt & modify to work under a 400.
From 3/4" inboard, which is usually just a set of offset hangars & shackles. Most owners just stretch the centering hole on the perch. The perch pads on those vehicles are wide enough to handle that.
A 3" kit moves the springs inboard of the frame rails. Requires new spring perches.

This is under an E-Body. They make 'em for A-Bodies, too.
